RANGERS have been hit with a Uefa fine for an incident which occurred during their Champions League qualifier with Dynamo Kyiv last month.
Philippe Clement‘s men crashed out of Europe‘s flagship competition following a 2-0 defeat at Hampden after Cyriel Dessers‘ stoppage time equaliser in Poland the previous week kept the tie alive.


But it was the Ukrainian outfit who progressed in the end after the Gers fell short in the second leg after Jefte was controversially sent off and they were reduced to 10 men.
And now, to make matters worse for the Ibrox club, they have been punished by Uefa for breaching a rule during the home fixture at their temporary home.
Europe‘s governing body released their latest disciplinary hearings and Rangers featured in the list.
The club have been sanctioned over the “blocking of public passageways” under Article. 38 of Uefa regulations.
Rangers have been fined €12,000 (£10,500) for the incident.
The Light Blues dropped straight into the newly-revamped Europa League following the defeat at Hampden.
They kick off their Euro league campaign against Malmo in Sweden on September 26 and will be back in Ibrox for their second fixture against Lyon on October 3.
Rangers return to their home stadium in Govan this weekend for their Premier Sports Cup clash with Dundee.
Meanwhile, the Gers weren’t the only Scottish club to feature in the disciplinary list published by Uefa.
Kilmarnock were also mentioned but they weren’t the club punished by the governing body.
Cercle Brugge have been hit with a fine as well for their fans’ actions during their qualifier clash in Belgium.
They have been fined €11,000 for the lighting of fireworks in the stands on the night of the fixture. £9,200
