CELTIC U19s got themselves off the mark in the Uefa Youth League following their 2-1 win over RB Leipzig this afternoon.
The result takes the young Hoops off the bottom of Group F as they leapfrogged the Germans to go into third.
Rocco Vata scored the opening goal for the young Hoops[/caption]Now sitting on three points, they are behind Shakhtar Donetsk in second and Real Madrid who are top of the pile, with both sides sitting on six and seven points respectively.
The group now emulates Celtic‘s Champions League Group F with all four teams occupying the same spot as their senior squads.
And the youth side’s win in Germany could inspire further Hoops heroics when Ange Postecoglou and co line up against the Bundesliga giants later today.
But in the earlier clash, it was Rocco Vata and Tsoanelo Letsosa who found the net to give the young Parkhead boys their 2-0 lead.

Leipzig‘s Max Voigt reduced their lead to just the one goal but the Hoops came out on top to win 2-1 after the 90 minutes.
Republic of Ireland starlet and son of Celtic legend Rudi, Rocco, opened the scoring after just ONE minute with a sensational volley straight from a corner.
Letsosa made it two after 10 minutes.
It could have been three as Leipzig were left shellshocked when Celtic were awarded a panelty for a foul on Adam Brooks.

He then took the spot-kick, however his effort was denied by the leipzig goalkeeper, stopped them from running away with the tie.
Celtic then held onto their lead in the second half and Tobi Oluwayemi was the man to thank for keeping them in it.
The young goalie produced a terrific save to deny a one-on-one opportunity just minutes after Lepizig’s only goal.
The Hoops kept their lead until the final whistle though and are still in the hat for qualification to the next stage of the competition.
