RANGERS fans have been warned there could be some “extremely aggressive searches” when entering the Estadio da Luz for their Europa League clash with Benfica tonight.
Around 3,250 Light Blues supporters will be in attendance for the match in Lisbon to watch their team battle it out in the last 16 of the competition.

But those who have travelled over the clash have been told there are “serious concerns” over gaining entry to the stadium, with the club said to have already been working with Uefa to ensure safety for supporters.
To guarantee that, European football‘s governing body have taken the surprise decision to appoint two security delegates for the match.
Popular Rangers blog 4ladshadadream shared all the details with a statement on social media.
It read: “Club are working with Uefa and FSE as there have been serious concerns raised with entry to the stadium previously with some extremely aggressive searches.
“UEFA have appointed two security delegates for this which is very uncommon so shows how seriously it’s being taken.
“Supporters strongly advised to arrive early at stadium. Club have been in regular dialogue with UEFA and FSE over entry issues previous visiting clubs have had.
“Should you have any issues, please ensure you report these to slo@rangers.co.uk or a member of staff on the ground.”
Toulouse faced Benfica in the last round of the competition and supporters of the French side hit out at the measures in place on social media when they visited the stadium in Lisbon.
There has already been fan trouble in the Portuguese capital since Gers fans travelled over.
Shocking footage emerged on social media last night showing Rangers yobs fighting with Atalanta hooligans in the streets after the Italian club’s 1-1 draw with Benfica’s rivals Sporting CP in the Champions League.
The widely shared footage showed more than 100 ultras involved in the violence.
Some of the Italian hooligans could be seen wielding belts and other items as weapons – congregating in the doorway of a hotel as missiles were fired back and forward between the two groups.
The Rangers fans – with some supporters clad in strips – then darted out of the hotel to chase their rivals up the square as sporadic running battles continued.
