CELTIC and Rangers have BOTH charged into the top rankings of a major Uefa rich list.
But there are TWO areas where the Hoops are out on their own – including one European football’s top brass say is one of the best measures of ‘club popularity.’

Uefa have published their annual European Club Finance and Investment report.
It looks at how Europe’s top football clubs are making their money, ranking them in various areas of revenue growth.
With the huge sums of money in the English Premier League, it’s little surprise that the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United are dominating.
Barcelona, too, are at the summit of several key areas, along with European football powerhouses including Bayern Munich and PSG.
But both Celtic and Rangers are holding their own among the elite – and both Old Firm clubs rank highly in one key area.
That area is gate revenue, with both Glasgow giants accumulating impressive figures attributed to ticketing.
Bot clubs are in the Uefa’s top 20 for gate revenue, in the financial year up to June 2023.
Rangers brought in £41million in gate receipts, which is actually just over £1m down from the year.
Celtic are just behind, having raked in £40million.
The Gers are averaging a yield of £37 per supporter coming through the turnstiles while the Hoops bring in £33 per fan.
Elsewhere, Celtic rank impressively in two other major areas.
The club announced a record-breaking annual profit of £40.7million for the last financial year.
That figure sees the Hoops placed SEVENTH in all of Europe among clubs who reported a record all-time profit in the last financial year.
They could potentially be even higher in next year’s release, having already reported a bumper pre-tax profit of £32m in this financial year’s interim report up to December 2023.
And Celtic are also ranked in the measure Uefa deems “as good a measure of club popularity as any”.
That comes in the form of revenues from kit and merchandising.
Celtic are once again ranked in the top 20 here, in a list dominated by the biggest clubs from Spain, England, Italy and Germany.
The Hoops pulled in more than £29million from kit sales in the last financial year, which was up from £25.7million in the previous 12 months.
The Parkhead outfit also appeared in the top 20 clubs ranked on the commercial revenue generated.
The 2023 figures showed £46m from sponsorship and commercial revenues, up significantly from the £37.7m brought in the previous financial year.
